Celebrate National Compliment Day on January 24th!

All too often we forget to compliment those around us. Everyday you should pay a compliment to another person and see how it makes you feel! Tell someone they are AWESOME, BEAUTIFUL, FRIENDLY...any compliment you pay will make you happier every minute.

We challenge you on January 24th to compliment at least five people. Not only are compliments appreciated by the receiver, they lift the spirit of the giver. Compliments provide a quick and easy way to connect positively with those you come in contact with. Giving compliments forges bonds, dispels loneliness and just plain feels good.

January is National Thank You month

All month long, January is time to say 'Thank You' as it is National Thank You month! There are many ways to say thanks to everyone in your world. We all have a lot to be thankful for in this day and age, if we are blessed with a great family, fun friends and our health.

Here are some ways to say 'Thank You' this month:

Make a list of all the people we have in our lives to be thankful for: parents, teachers, friends, siblings, mentors. Make a list of all the people you feel grateful for and aim to thank one person each day.

Thank someone new, leave a thank you note for the mailman, say thank you to a fire fighter, or bring a coffee to your bus driver.

Say it in the morning...say 'Thank You' for the miracle of life every single day.

Pay your thanks forward and make a donation to an organization you love in honor of the person you’re thankful for.

If we all take some time this month and say 'Thank You' we can make the world a better place...one day at a time. Here is to a happy and prosperous 2013!
